Do you need your pesticide certificates?

We will be running a two day PA1 PA6A course at Bury St Edmunds on August 4th 5th . This will lead to assessment by NPTC and the knapsack sprayer certificate.

Please phone Charles Parker on 01728 660264 to reserve a place

Legislation requires that people managing and/or using pesticides must be able to show that they are competent, and in certain circumstances must undergo assessment and acquire a certificate of competence. The training we offer is designed to meet these requirements.

Training for managers
Those managers who hold the operators certificates, for example PA2 or 6, and have experience in using pesticides can probably claim that they are competent to give instructions. Those who find themselves in a managerial role, but who have no certification and/or experience, need training.
The BASIS 'Protection of Water, the Environment and Recommendations (POWER) Certificate' is designed for such managers. For further details click here

Training for Operators
Managers must also make sure that those carrying out work for them receive information, instruction, guidance, training and supervision to enable them to do the work to the necessary standard, i.e. competently.

The most commonly run courses are explained below. The full range of further courses are also available for specific types of equipment or application conditions. If you would like to discuss your specific requirements in more detail either ring
Charles Parker on 01728 660264 or complete our enquiry form and we will contact you.
